The first step before every session is an evaluation which includes whole body palpation, postural assessment and a walking gait assessment. From there the bodywork and integrated movement therapies are applied.

Yes, but keep it to light work.

It is best to start with 3 sessions close together; once every two weeks and then see how they hold the work. This helps to build on the gains from previous sessions and promote the integration of the changes. After initial 3 sessions, for horses in regular work; every 4-6 weeks is recommended.

You want to be there for the first session to be able to watch and ask questions. For subsequent visits, it is up to you if you would like to attend all or part of the session. Some horses are like kids and are much better behaved when parents aren’t around. Others like the security of having their person there. While in attendance, it’s important that the owner or handler be quiet and disengaged from the horse while work is being done.

Here the focus is on soft tissues and neural circulation. Once these move more freely the skeletal adjustments are more easily achieved and more importantly the work is held longer. This work is quite complementary with chiropractic, along with other modalities like acupuncture, wave therapy, and lasers. Nothing works in isolation.
